The CatRad JOTA team was active again for the 51st Annual Jamboree On the Air, on HF, VHF and Packet Radio over the Amateur Radio bands.
This year a total of 12 Guides, Brownies plus 2 Leaders visited us.
On HF 48 stations worked and 15 on VHF.
The total of 115 Greeting Messages Sent and 34 received.

The CatRad JOTA team was active again with the Caterham Guides on HF, VHF and Packet Radio over the Amateur Radio bands, from the home of Paul G4APL, Ann G7BSF.
33 Guides, Brownies, Guide and Brownie Leaders and District Commissioners were present. Those that were working towards their Radio Communication Badge were successful.

16 October 1999
The Caterham Radio Group participated in the 42nd Annual Jamboree On the Air on Saturday 16th October 1999 supporting the local Caterham Guides and Brownies Including 2 Rainbows and 3 Scouts.
34 Guides, Brownies and Cubs completed the required tasks to gain their Radio Communication Badge from the Guide Leader
The club call
G X 0 S C R was on air from 07:00 to 21:00 Caterham time.
We had an excellent day, including long contacts with Scouts in Australian  and Namibia West Africa.
In the evening the Guide Leader had three quality hours of what real Amateur Radio DXing on 14 MHz was all about.
On 145MHz the guides passed over a 100 greeting messages.  HF report to follow when logs are analysed.
We were  active on Packet Radio world wide Convers channel 11, also on
2 metre FM and 40, 20, 15, 10 LF/HF Bands.
This event was supported by six CatRad members

The Caterham Radio Group participated in the 41st Annual Jamboree On the Air on Saturday:-
17th October 1998 supporting the local Caterham Brownies and Guides
32 Guides and Brownies (including 1 Rainbow and 1 Scout) attended.
Over a 100 greeting messages were sent
We were using the callsign GX0SCR and active on Packet Radio world wide Convers channel 11, also on 2 metre FM and 80, 40, 20, 15,10 LF/HF Bands.
This event was supported by six CatRad members

The Caterham Radio Group participated in the 40th Annual Jamboree On he Air on Saturday 19 October 1997
10 guides from the 9th Caterham and 18 guides from the 1st Caterham completed all the various tasks and gained their Communications Badge. The Guide ‘Helpers’ 6 from 9th and 2 from the 1st, gained a certificate of merit
